Sète is located in the Languedoc-Roussillon region, in the Hérault departement. Once an island, it is now joined to the mainland. In its past, the town has been baptized under several names: Mont Sétius, Cette, and, most recently, Sète. Surrounded by the Mediterranean and the Thau pond, where oysters and clams are harvested whose quality is unrivalled in all of France.
